Agile Management Programme
SPS Business Solutions deliver a dynamic Agile Management programme that focuses on business improvement through measurable management and the agility of managers to proactively respond to change. The programme is suitable for both newly appointed and experienced managers.
The programme covers the characteristics of high performance as well as the need to interpret and respond to the strategic direction of the organisation.
Successful completion of the programme will lead to the award of the ILM Introductory Certificate in First Line Management.

Learning and development
Reflective learning and personal development are essential features of the programme, to be achieved through completion of the Personal Development Record. The workshops are highly participative and based on the following principles;
- That learning is best measured by transferability in to workplace behaviour
- That each individual client and delegate situation is different
In between the workshops delegates will be expected to complete action plans based on some of the aspects covered and which relate to individual and business improvement issues.
Assessment
Each delegate must complete to a national standard:
- Segment Reviews to cover 4 of the 7 optional segments and one Work-based Assignment of not less than 1000 words.
Programme Mentoring
Each person on the programme will receive three mentoring sessions lasting up to an hour per session.
The purpose of the mentoring sessions is as follows;
Session One
- To discuss individual strengths and weaknesses
- To determine areas of business, team and individual improvement
- To identify specific and measurable personal and organisational performance objectives
- Familiarise trainer with the individual organisation and issues
Session 2
- To carry out a review of progress
- To determine successes
- To determine impact of the individuals action plans on organisation, team and individual objectives
Session 3
- To carry out a review of the programme
- To identify future actions, projects and development needs.
- To determine impact of individual action plans and projects on business improvement
Company Mentoring
The programme encourages senior management to be involved in supporting the development of the individual by helping to mentor, identify individual learning and performance objectives, monitor progress and reviewing individual contribution to business improvements.
Final Results
The Introductory Certificate in First Line Management is awarded to participants who satisfactorily complete:
- The programme of learning and development
- The Segment Review(s)
- The assessed Work-based Assignment
